To add new class from the main program menu choose Lists - > Classes. Then Options - > New. Name the class and click Save.
You can add a new class from the transaction edit dialog when choosing the class for a transaction.
To assign class to the transaction when creating/editing transaction go to second tab and choose class from pre-defined classes.
